Outpatient Groups

Our weekly outpatient groups provide long-term support to clients as they step down from more intensive care or seek added support to individual psychotherapy work. Explore our groups below:

  • Relapse Prevention

The Relapse Prevention Group offers strategies to address issues that can pose a threat to sobriety during this phase such as finances, relationships, family issues, career matters, and spirituality. The Master-level clinicians who facilitate this group employ a variety of clinical techniques including psychotherapy process, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Experiential Therapies.

    Facilitated by: Salah Bustami, LMHC

  • Emotional Sobriety in Recovery

The ESIR Advanced Process Group is an open-ended aftercare Psychotherapy Group for adults who are stabilized in their recovery with a year or more of abstinence. The group is conducted by an LCSW-R utilizing integrative techniques as they interface with their emotional sobriety. This integrative approach helps clients to address skills to cope with emotions and feelings; interpersonal communication, daily life stressors, finances, family and work concerns, and enhancing emotional regulation in a supportive environment. Clinical techniques utilized at this level of care are psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Advanced DBT Skills, Psychodrama, and Experiential Therapies.

    Facilitated by: Mildred Pisciotta, LCSW-R

    Wednesdays 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m., Virtual via Zoom

Requirements: Completion of 1 year of care in Phase 2 or another level of care; 6-month commitment

  • Harm Reduction

The harm reduction group, inspired by Dr. Andrew Tatarsky's Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy (IHRP) model, offers a compassionate, flexible approach to addressing substance use and related challenges. Welcoming all positive change goals, including abstinence, the group empowers participants to progress at their own pace. Combining relational psychoanalysis, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the program addresses personal, relational, and lifestyle issues while reducing the negative impacts of substance use. With individualized plans that may include group therapy, family support, and tools for psychedelic integration, we create a supportive environment for meaningful, sustainable change.
